Sure, you get the experience of being at the biggest game of the year, but at what cost? The 42-inch (?) flat-screen TV hanging in your section is pretty sweet, but even its view is somewhat obstructed. Plus, if you wanted to watch the game on a giant flat-screen TV, you could have just stayed home and drank cheaper beer.
So, is the experience of attending a Super Bowl at Jerry Jones’ monument to excess, Cowboys Stadium, worth the $600 or so for the ticket, even though you can’t see squat?
Or, after adding in the high costs of snacks, beer, and souvenirs, is it a case of pissing your hard-earned money away just so you can brag to people that you were there for Super Bowl XLV?
I’m going with the latter.
