You can dress him up and stick him in front of a camera, but that doesn’t mean Bobby Knight will tone it down. He’s been behaving himself for the most part, but every once in a while he lets fly a patented Knight, umm, euphemism.
Today on ESPN College Gameday, viewers were treated to one of those special Bobby Knight moments, when he responded to Digger Phelps’ “defense wins” comment with his own, much more colorful, response.
Digger Phelps: “defense wins.”
Bob Knight: “the chicken shit defense.”
Must send thanks to ESPN for refusing to use an 8-second tape delay. If they did, we wouldn’t have been privy to a classic Knight moment.
